RCVS canvasses views on Practice Standards Scheme
THE RCVS is conducting a survey of practices that are members of its
Practice Standards Scheme to canvass their views on the scheme and on how it
could best be communicated to the general public.
The survey is being carried out by an independent market research agency
and is part of a research programme being conducted by the RCVS.
The survey complements a series of focus groups with animal-owning members of
the public that the College is currently holding around the country.
A questionnaire has been sent to 945 individuals and the RCVS
says that the initial response has been good, with 258 responses received by
November 21. The results will be published before the end of the year and will
be used in designing the launch of the scheme to the public, which is planned
for the first quarter of 2006.
